  • Dan Garrett- 2009 Greater Atlanta Magician of the Year
    The members of The Atlanta Society of Magicians (S.A.M. Assembly #30) and The Georgia Magic Club (I.B.M. Ring 9) voted Dan Garrett 2009 Greater Atlanta Magician of the Year(MOTY). This is Dan's third time being honored with the award.
    The MOTY trophy was presented to Dan at the January 18 RING 9 meeting by Ring 9 president, Debbie Liefer.
  • 2009 Magic Week Proclamation October 7, 2009

    Governor Sonny Perdue issued a proclamation declaring the final week of October, 2009 to be "Magic Week" in Georgia. Atlanta Society of Magicians members gathered in the governor's office for the signing of the proclamation and photo op.

  • 2009 Annual Holiday Banquet January 10, 2009

    The annual Assembly #30/ Ring 9 combined holiday banquet was held Saturday January 10, 2009
    at the Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church. Close-up magic was performed after dinner by members Dan Garrett, Joe M. Turner, Arthur Atsma, Gene Hendrix, Wes Petty, Evan Reynolds, Keith Rainey & Bill Packard.
    2008 Greater Atlanta Magician of the Year: Ken Scott
    The headliner for the evening was Levent.

  • 2008 Magician of the Year November 11,2008
    Tim Wolfe and Keith Rainey were selected as the Atlanta Society of Magicians' nominees for
    Greater Atlanta Magician of the Year (MOTY) 2008. Joe M. Turner and Ken Scott were selected
    as Georgia Magic Club's nominees. Ballots will be mailed to members of both clubs and the winner
    will be revealed at the clubs' annual combined holiday banquet.
